SCM Group

Established in 1952 the SCM Group is probably the largest woodworking machinery manufacturer in the world. Based in Italy they are present in many countries with locally established sales subsidiaries and service partners.

The SCM Group product range covers just about every aspect of woodworking machinery including: the hobbyist models of classical woodworking machinery in the Minmax series, the SCM Branded ranges of heavier duty classical timber processing machines and the Panel Processing ranges of Beam Saws, CNC Routers and Machine Centres and Edgebanding machines.

Further to the SCM brand the well known brand names of Stefani Edgebanders, Mahros Automation, Morbidelli CNC Routers and Drilling machines, Gabbiani Panel Sizing, and DMC Wide belt sanders are used for the high production or specialised application machinery.

SCM and GABBIANI CNC Beam Panel Saws

CNC Beam Panels saws for small and medium manufacturers would be accommodated by the SCM brand model range of standardised beam saws with lower cutting heights and these can be front or rear loaded. The models would include the Impact and Prima series.

CNC Beam saws for faster production or more intensive use are provided by Gabbiani and these include Front loading Saw, Automatic Rear Loading Saws and Multi saw Angle Plants and Sizing systems. Models include the Galaxy range of front and rear loading saws and the Axiom Angle plants.

Gabbiani Beam Saws can feature second pushers and Head cut turning devices.

SCM GROUP Edgebanders

SCM Group have two brands of Edgebanding machines for the different production needs.

The OLIMPIC K series are produced in a standard execution and are designed for the low and medium volume producing customer wanting quality Edgebanding. These machines can also have to have a level of automated setting and with ever increasing feed speeds and lipping capacity.

The STEFANI range of edge banders are for heavy duty high industrial volumes. These machines can be the SOLUTION series of single sided edgebanders or the PERFORMANCE series of Double sided edge banders or Combination Edgebanding machines and production lines with full automation.

SCM and MORBIDELLI CNC Routers and Machine Centres

SCM have a number of well know brands in respect of CNC Routers including the PRATIX series, the ACCORD series and the RECORD series.

Made for different production levels and applications the CNC Routers and Machine Centres from these ranges includes both Pod and Rail model and Flat Nesting table CNC machines for both Joinery and Panel processing.

These machines can be 3 or 4 axes for panel and joinery production or for more dedicated Joinery then the SCM PRISMA series can be a dedicated 5 Axis CNC Router.

The MORBIDELLI range of CNC Routers and Machine centres cover a similar application with the well know AUTHOR series of CNC Routers and Machine centres. Morbidelli also produced high volume CNC Panel drilling solutions FLEXA 912 for furniture production.
